THE PROBLEM WITH TERMITES

We Don’t Have to Tell You Termites are Bad News

  • Property Damage: They can do significant damage to the wood on buildings, de-valuing your property and leading to costly renovations and repairs.

  • Financing Issues: Termites can prevent you from selling or re-financing your property depending on lender requirements.

  • Management Liability: owners of properties may hold management companies responsible for un-resolved termite problems.

Problems We Can Solve for Management Companies

Common problems at management companies we can solve:

  1. Dis-organized Termite Warranties & Gaps in Coverage: Many Property Managers and Regional Managers aren’t sure if they have termite warranties or not on their properties. This is a problem. We can help you figure out what coverage you have (if any) and what you may need to cover your property for termites.

  2. Lack of Inspections: Many commercial properties are not inspected for termites regularly - increasing the risk of significant termite damage to buildings over time. The industry best practice is to have at least one professional termite inspection per year - every year!

  3. Too Many Old Vendor Warranties: Many management companies have termite warranties from a variety of different vendors that have piled up over the years. Sometimes there are even multiple vendors with partial warranties on the same property. This makes it hard to know who’s responsible for termite issues. It also means that management companies often don’t know whether or not they’re over-paying for termite treatments and warranties. And what you don’t know can cost you money. On top of that, you likely have termite warranties left over from an old vendor you parted ways with years ago - didn’t you part ways with them for a reason? It might be time to get a new termite warranty!
